catching worms

approaching a certain mtn a bird
shifted its glance towards the construction
of a new development on the
foothills of its usual bird's-eye view below.
communicating to its feathered
comrade, the bird explained that yes, the
high-societal humans sure
knew how to clutter
the view with awkward intangibilities and
commodities in stasis. "just fly,"
he told his bird friend in regards
to the humans. "just fly and stop
settling. it gets on the nerves of others."

I hate birds, and that's why I subscribe to Audubon Magazine.
